Need solution to schedule updates at my isp's free time

Ok I live in the woods and use satellite internet (means expensive). They have free download time between midnight and 5am I had Windows 8 merrily updating for years. Now pretty new 10 wants to update when ever it wants. Thanks Microsoft, your free upgrade is now very expensive.
Can anyone think of a hack to tell Microsoft that I need to be in charge of update times?

If you set your connection as Metered, (assuming that works with the connection type you have?) then it seems to stop it downloading the big updates until you manually push a Download button, which is a partial solution:

Also you can tell it not to download drivers over a metered connection.

I would think Windows Update would be a service. Can you schedule the service to only run between 12am and 4am?

The metered option only shows up on wifi connections not on Ethernet from my router.

Download and run as admin. Not sure, if it will work though.
If not, disable Updates and download them at the desired time.

That seems to be working. I set the update service to manual and the install was waiting for me. I shut off the Internet connection just to be sure and the install worked great.
    Thanks

You can just use "Task Scheduler" which is a program that has been included in Windows since the land before time.

If that doesn't work for you, you can just use a 3rd party called "Winaero Tweaker" and set the Windows Update option to just "Notify if there's an update".

If you want to do it with just using Windows, just run "gpedit.msc" and then change the Windows Update options there.
