    Hello Bree,

    thanks, have uninstalled as suggested.

btw Try3 reminded me to always trust 'Bree' ... but I have for years anyway. :)
    Take care

Has it improved your Windows responsiveness going back to 1903?

I am taking care, only leaving home to get my weekly food shopping. Actually, that's little change for me as I've always been one for staying at home and spending my time online

Yes Bree responses are much better.

Ditto with home and normal covid precautions like once a week shopping however I am blessed here
in the wilds with beautiful places to walk without seeing another human being.

Glad to hear that. That rules out the latest cumulative updates as being the cause, 1909 and 1903 have the same system files and the same cumulative updates.

Nice, I'm not as secluded as you, but I do have woods and open fields a short walk away from the small housing estate where I live.

    nithig,

Yes, I now see that the Version update was what was holding you back. Having suggested you check the dates of your updates, I completely forgot about that when I wrote my last post. So I'm glad @Bree was paying attention and spotted that you were no longer on v1903.

I've only just come back to the forum as I'd been busy conducting important scientific research for the rest of the day. Three loaves & eighteen cakes. I have not been able to buy any proper flour ["strong" flour] for a month so I made both normal loaves & fruit loaves using self-raising flour instead and they rise almost as well as they do with proper flour {they are down only about 10%}. And the cakes were to help me think about these results. And the fruit bread is to help me think about whether or not I liked the cakes. It's a hard life.

    Ah so it is :)
Love the description of the baking ... takes me back as I once used to bake a lot but these days not so much.
Still make the odd brack with Jamisons of course.
So who is all your baking for? Trust there are some very appreciative folk around you.
Finally, did you like the cakes?

So ya, is Microsoft putting out a new Feature Update (new version) ???

I`m sure we`d all know if they were, I never install the new version for 4 to 5 months after it`s released anyway, so it makes no never mind to me.

Just curious if anyone has heard/read anything about it yet.
