After i install the update and get the reset message all i get is a black screen

Please state:
a. How you are attempting to update
b. If using an iso or bootable medium, from where and how you obtained that.
Then consider the basics:
Do you have > 30Gb free on C: ?
Have you uninstalled any 3rd party security software?
Have you checked your disk? E.g. HDTune v2.55
Have you run e.g.
chkdsk c: /scan
from an admin command or Powershell prompt?
