So you're saying you have no HP machine, even though the error code says HP? I don't know, something sounds weird.

Alarm bells!! What sort of antivirus/malware program are you running ?

Don't know whether that will achieve anything

    More alarm bells

    Even more alarm bells
    My above responses in blue.

I'd be doing a number of things ...
    - making sure all my personal data is backed up externally
    - no more accessing user accounts/emails where a password is required
    - accessing another device and changing, at least, my email passwords
    - check what financial access details are stored on the device (banking, etc). If any, access another device and change passwords.

Then, start (re)considering troubleshooting, but being prepared for worst case scenario - wipe drive and re-install.

EDIT : When posting any images of Windows screens, make sure you block out your users name/email accounts/etc.

    Tks for that heads up.

Having read the OP's previous posts, I even more strongly suspect this device is heavily compromised.

    Just as an example ....

i got very disappointed with Windows Defender, it kept deleting files, which I knew to be safe
    Deleted, or quarantined??

In either case, WD doesn't do this for no apparent reason.

that would be very helpful. Doing an in place Upgrade at the moment, I did this a week or so ago, due to the previous issues Inhaf and everything looked good, until I noticed the activation message......so could be due to the upgrade......also cannot see why my PC is a HP machine now.....why is nothing simple with PCs ???
