When I did the clean install, I ticked “don’t have a key” so the digital license on MS servers is valid for my machine.....is there anyone on this forum that knows how I can reset / repair / clean the corrupt activation files.....can’t be impossible, for someone who knows how......will save me so much time, which I do t have being a 24/7 carer.....fingers crossed help is out there
2 members I can think of off the top of my head would be @Bree and @Superfly. Bree is online, I don't see Superfly. There may be other, too.

Your report is fine apart from not not being able to high-5 MS activation server.

Corruption at a permissions level ( like in Trusted Installer) can only be repaired from PE.

Note: an In-place upgrade runs from a mounted image (locked permissions) not WinPE so the corrupted permissions will persist.

Best bet (apart from clean install) is to run sfc /scannow from PE

How to use the SFC command utility to fix system files on Windows 10 | Windows Central

(Not sure if we have a tut.. so just googled LOL)

The original windows 7 licence was from the OS supplied with the PC with a sticker.....I have been running perfectly ever since the free UG to W10.....
So it was originally an OEM license, right? Why does it say RETAIL on one of your screenshots?

Yes, we do. Running SFC /ScanNow at boot to repair an offline system is Option One.

Run SFC Command in Windows 10

Once it switches to the generic product key, it activates on the retail channel.

Hello, I have no idea, it simply came with a sticker, was from a private system builder, had no reason to be suspicious.....should I worry ?

Tried SFC from boot command prompt sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=D:\windows
where diskpart tells me the boot drive = K and system reserved = I so substituted these, but got the message Windows resource protection couldn’t start the service.....I started CMD prompt using Shift key during restart and via troubleshooting option........

Rather post screenshots of what you are doing... even by phone 'cause I'm lost

If sfc cannot start from PE we are in more doo-doo than we thought.
