Can I pause Windows updates several times?

I have paused the Windows Update for 1909 for 35 days and wonder if I am able to pause the update for another 35 days?

I was able to add another day for a total of 36 days.

I have had problems with major updates with my RAID system so I would prefer to delay this update until it seems to be fixed.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

    Thanks for the information.

But, I would also like to know if the Pause Function can be repeated. I have March 2 as a deadline. Could I add another 35 days for a second pause--back-to-back pauses?

You did not read the articles.

    I have Sledgehammer
Sledgehammer (formerly WUMT Wrapper Script) is used to launch Windows Update MiniTool and disable Windows Updates until you rerun it.
Is the user who decides when to look for and install the updates.

You do not have to use the "Pause" function if you have disabled automatic updates.
I have never used the "Pause" function, and nothing has been updated without my permission.

Indeed, I'm using Windows Updates on my main workstation but on VMs I've removed Windows Update all together.

Automatic updates can be disabled without removing/disabling Windows Updates.
I don't use Sledgehammer because it disables Windows Updates.

I only am able to Pause. There is no way to disable automatic updates. I have Windows 10 Pro. I checked with the "Assistant," and the answer is to use the Pause function.

I use the following way to disable automatic updates. So far, so good.

But, after checking again online, I can see that there is the option to stop updating in Services.
