    He would not have attached it if it were not safe.

    Yes it is safe the script only resets policies that are enabled.
    Don't forget to setup a system restore point.

    After the elevation of the policy as per suggested here, reboot and the connect to my personal Wifi.
    Run windows update and this is what i get now.

    Try restoring Windows to a point where Windows Update still worked properly.
    Try resetting Windows Update as I said yesterday.

    Have you restart the computer also reset Windows Update.
