    KB4528760 Windows 10 Update problem

Today I received Windows 10 updates KB4528760 and KB453293 which were installed. I was already running on version 1909 in Windows Pro 64 bit. Following the updates I found that the Windows specifications were displaying that the PC was running on version 1903 build 18362.592. What has happened and how can I get my PC back on version 1909 build 18363.592? I have checked for Windows updates but am told that Windows is up to date. I have downloaded the Windows Update Assistant and was about to run it to see if I can get the system back on version 1909. I would like to avoid this if it's possible. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, please note this- most recent- relating to your update- and the build number:

    KB4528760 CU Win 10 v1903 build 18362.592 & v1909 build 18363.592
    January 14, 2020 - KB4528760 (OS Builds 18362.592 and 18363.592)

KB4532938 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 and Windows Server 1903 RTM and Windows 10, version 1909 - will not affect build number.

I don't know how you have a 1903 build number now if you were on 1909.

You are on 1909, but you want to get back to 1909, you say. Do you perhaps mean 1903?
After updating, OP's Windows 10 version downgraded to 1903. It should show 18363.592 instead of 18362.592.

I am having a similar problem OP.

I'm using 1903 but i haven't installed 1909 because i decided to wait until i want to install it. But yesterday W10 updated itself and now in Windows Update the feature update 1909 isn't showing up anymore. Don't know what to do.

You have another thread on this to which I've just responded. Please don't post the same thing in different places.. thanks!

I only thought that info might somehow help the OP. Perhaps if OP can revert back to 1903 then he might be able to install 1909 again and install the KB4528760 update again without issues and display the correct OS build for his PC.

    KB4528760 Windows 10 Update problem

Thanks to all who replied to my question. I now think this happened due to me receiving the offer of the updates KB4528760 and KB453293 via the regular Windows Update routine. Please understand that I was already up to date with updates and was already on version 1909. I recall the two updates mentioned they were for 1903. I should have not downloaded and installed them but I assumed that since Windows Update offered them for my PC, which was already on 1909 that things were OK. Obviously they were not. I think this is what downgraded me back to 1903. Why wasn't I offered the 1909 versions? I have now checked a second PC belonging to my wife. It is on Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, the same as my PC. She was also up to date on 1909, but her system is now showing it is on version 1809 and Windows Update is telling her she has an update for version 1909. It is KB4535547, an Edge Update. Her PC is set to automatically download and update Windows Updates because she doesn't check for them. My PC is set to offer updates but wait until I request them. Thanks again for all of the suggestions. I offer this long story just in case someone else runs into it.

Both PCs are back up on version 1909 now. I had to run the updates again on both of them.
