Whilst doing latest updates to win 10 i was wondering whats in store in the future as already in pipeline? Is win 10 just going to be upgrades for the foreseeable future or is there another 'new' realise in development?

Pretty much back 5 years ago it was written about Windows 10 as the last numbered version, the phrase used was WaaS or Windows as a Service, now Microsoft Office [and other third-party software] is being called SaaS or Software as a Service otherwise known as Subscription-based. Things do appear to be achanging so mostly we need patience to see what is coming next.

The biggest change is incorporating more Linux Shell features by separating processes to help with eliminating old code left over from the NT4 days.

The other changes are going towards Arm64 with Windows 10, same as what Apple is doing.

You are going to see more Arm64 devices out on the market in the next year, which means that battery life will be longer and that you will see less conventional desktop chipsets in those devices like Laptops geared towards business and higher education markets, which hold the largest market share.
