Not sure what links your referring to? Other than MSDN, this is it for Windows 8.1. There were digital River links for Windows 7 that were eventually pulled. There is a similar tool for Windows 7, have to go hunt for it though, didn't work for me. I have an MSDN subscription so no big deal for me.

For Windows 8 look here, http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials...ad-create.html

EDIT: For Windows 7 go here, http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery
Yep, that's the one, thanks again ...

It's true that there won't be anything like traditional service packs that occur once every 1 or 2 years. It's now going to be a Service Release once every 4 months or so. The Service release takes the place of Service Packs, and are essentially the same thing, but on a more frequent basis.

Saying there's no service packs is implying there won't be any improvements.

Perhaps it's better to say "No traditional service pack"

I would also imagine the MediaCreationTool would get a refresh every 4 months. And which we would also have to re do our usb flash stick to stay with current release

I had read last Friday or Saturday that the Insiders were supposed to get Service Release #1 today. Anyone know what happened to that plan?
