That's was my thought what would we do 5 years from now if there no SP but like you say as long as they keep ISO updated is the concern . It would sucks and I can't see it happening if every time one does a clean install they would have to update thier comp from July29/15
If MS didn't update the ISO I would like to have the ability to save each SR so I can perform the updates myself if I have to reinstall 10.

Exactly . Imagine if they didn't or put a surcharge for it

They updated the Windows 8.1 ISO's and added the Nov Update, don't see why they wouldn't do the same for Windows 10. MSDN lists Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 with Update ISO's for download. And the Windows 8.1 MCT includes the Update as well.

MS is not going to charge for the SR.. as it was stated early on the support for 10 will be free.

Didn't they stop providing links for downloading ? Or was that just for older versions like 7

Not sure what links your referring to? Other than MSDN, this is it for Windows 8.1. There were digital River links for Windows 7 that were eventually pulled. There is a similar tool for Windows 7, have to go hunt for it though, didn't work for me. I have an MSDN subscription so no big deal for me.

For Windows 8 look here, http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials...ad-create.html

EDIT: For Windows 7 go here, http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery
