    Windows Not Updating


    Hi eveyone,

    Due to a major system crash, I've had to restore an Acronis Image to get my system up and running again - which went well.

    The problem I have is that Windows is now not updating and errors with code - 0x80240fff. I've Googled the error to no avail.

    The restored image is from 2015 & is the only one I have . . . Version 10.0 (Build 10240)


    Am I right in thinking that with Windows 10 I'm outside the supported life cycle for updates to this version and if so, is there a work around?

    Hi, as you now have such an old installation, wouldn't it be better simply to clean install? Activation should be automatic. (It's possible to download the iso for any build).
