Windows 10 Activation watermark causes mouse input lag

Some time back there was a Registry entry that would put the watermark on the screen but that ability disappeared from the RTM versions and now only exists on my IP/Insider Preview computers.

And of course, we would be risking a slapped wrist from moderators here if we gave out advice how to bypass it as technically running unactivated breaches EULA.

Yup, I got a bit upset in the other thread as it borders activation bypass

There are exploits that hook the Branding Resource Dll - but that is as far as we can discuss that

Why that dll has knock on effects I dunno, but not interested in what happens on unactivated systems, TBH, apart from getting them activated, obviously!

And don't forget that the Desktop is not Static like a picture on the wall but Dynamic so the watermark will either always be there [like mine are] or will always be refreshing/redrawing. Many things such as open programs will cause that redrawing.

The mouse lags I have had has almost always been due to memory leak - if MS has purposely done that on unactivated systems .. well GENIUS (...and coming from me, who does not compliment them often .. LOL)
