One product key can be used on only one PC.

Can I build a new Windows 10 PC and activate it using my original Windows 8 Pro retail key? Will the old PC become deactivated if I continue to use it?
    Yes, and yes.

Well, how many PC's do you wish to have activated simultaneously with one license?
    Sorry for late answer.
I only need one active licence.

Use your key to activate Windows on your new PC. The one on your old PC will be invalidated.
Don't tell me you have lost your key.

You may like to read through this carefully- it is not just about using the troubleshooter.
Use Activation Troubleshooter in Windows 10
OK, I went trough this thread several times.
Please correct me if I'm wrong:
If one wants to activate MSA on B computer, he needs to reinstall Windows 10 on A computer?
After that, MSA on A will no longer be active so MSA can be activated on B?

I have a Win 10 digital license that I picked up a few years ago when MS gave a free upgrade from 7 to 10.

The pattern would be to deactivate the key on the old machine and activate it on the new one.
If the old one is no longer viable, and activation fails on the new one, you can contact your MS regional activation centre.

I have a Win 10 digital license that I picked up a few years ago when MS gave a free upgrade from 7 to 10. This license is properly linked to my Microsoft account on my old PC.
I assume this means you upgraded that Win 7 machine to Win 10.
Some have commented that even if the original license was OEM, it seems MS is not concerned and transfer to a new PC has worked.

I did not have to use my MSA to activate Windows 10 on computer B after computer A died.
I just had to use my Windows 7 key to do so.

There is no need to use the digital license. Just use your Windows 7 key.

Umm.. I think we will know if that is the latter if the OP runs the following command:
    slmgr /dli
