Well they are all drivers but even if you search Intel's site you get zero information.

Hopefully another member knows where such information is hidden on the Intel site.

The "View optional updates" link is for this below:

Check for and Install Windows Update in Windows 10

This feature is only available starting with Windows 10 build 18980.

Microsoft is working on making it easier for you to see all optional updates (including drivers, feature updates, and monthly non-security quality updates) in one place. For drivers, you no longer need to browse Device Manager for a specific device to update. Windows Update will automatically keep your drivers up-to-date, same as before, but if you’re having a problem one of those optional drivers might help.

    Curiosity

I was more concerned what these updates were for, looks like they are for the CPU from what I can tell.

    Agreed.

Normally, you should never need to install any of these optional updates unless you are having a problem with the currently installed version.

--- That list was also unreadable to me.

--- It’s nice that it worked on your end but we don’t have a clue of what you are using in order to work
--- Since it’s unreadable by more than 1 person, what application is being used?

--- "I was more concerned what these updates were for, looks like they are for the CPU from what I can tell."
--- Many of those entries are not limited to your CPU.
--- That makes me think there might be some non-Microsoft items on your PC
--- Maybe a driver utility, a complete 3rd party utility or some non-Microsoft application(s) in play?

    For your CPU
Go into Device Manager and post the exact recorded Processors CPU information and let us know what it is.
    --- I’ve looked for “Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E5 Product Family/Core i7 Power Control Unit 0 – 3CC0”
--- As has been mentioned, it isn’t being found yet.
--- We should know what your exact CPU information is.

I have exactly the same problem but with an old Asus Z87 and 4670k chip.
Even on Windows installation and i select to add additional drivers using the DVD you get this stupid choice of chipset drivers that i cannot find any information on. The main Z87 driver name on disc, i search internet and it does not appear anywhere on the Intel site, so makes me dubious to install.

Only had board for 12 months. Drivers seem suspicious. I know for sure its an express chipset and thats all i want. Another thing i dont like is this 'Windows System' update. i cant find any real information on it apart from it having similar file names as the 'Intel Engine Management' driver, which i refuse to install, as I reckon its hidden remote access.

In my device manager, everything is installed apart from this dodgy 'PCi Simple Communication Device' It will go away if Intel Management is installed but Intel dont give any information on it, or what it does. So sod installing that !
I choose what system drivers go on my motherboard, not you Asus, Intel or Windows, its my machine and works fine without it.
    Back off manufacturers

This is typical Windows 10 here from my experience.

if it doesn't know what driver is needed, it puts your ID information into some multi language lets get everything, just to make sure it works.
I had this very same problem from Windows 10 installing the wrong chipset drivers. Dont relax for a moment, because before you know it, you'll have the wrong USB, wrong LAN driver, and then, Windows seems absolutely fine with this.
I mean come on, us guys arnt blind ya know hehe

I almost feel like now, if Windows can get away with something without notice, then that is success on their end
