How To Disable 'Optional Updates' in Windows Update

I cannot relate also why “Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E5 Product Family/Core i7 Power Control Unit 0 – 3CC0” is one of the items in your Optional Updates either.
--- Is your PC custom built?

I started building it in 2012 and it was going very well and then couldn't find room for it because of the full sized case so Win 10 was out and I bought a unit from HP that would fit on my desk. That was an i7 chip and I was happy with it. At the time, the 3930 was a very good CPU. 8 years later my HP dies and I don't want to repair it so I put the build into service. Needless to say I had a few issues but just grabbing the drive from the old HP and installing it in the build was the easiest thing I ever did. I don't really need the top notch CPU and not even sure I have the option to upgrade just needed a computer to run my business and other things we all do and I'm not a gamer.

Is that when the optional updates starting showing or is that a recent issue?

Please run winver and let us know what Win10 version is in use

Personally I'd like to recommend solving those issues in that thread.
