Zbooks are mobile workstations.
I'm using G2 for this post.
Run through the check list then perform an upgrade with the iso.
If it is successful you are set.
If it is not it should generate the better error code.
Then Panther logs can be scanned.
Of coarse, issues right at the start:

Am I supposed to say yes? is this normal? I mean, its a system drive, so of coarse it's in use. So why would I be getting this?
This is the typical message before the run of chkdsk with the current switches.
The computer will reboot to run the command.
While the command is running you will not be able to use the computer.
It is best to run the command overnight.

So, I chose Y, and it said it'll be run upon next restart. But when I restart, nothing happens.
Any thoughts?
Did you create a Windows 10 iso?
Boot using the Windows 10 iso.
Open the Windows advanced troubleshooting menu > command prompt
This should open a black box with title bar: Administrator:X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe and prompt: X:\sources: >
Type: bcdedit | find "osdevice"
(This should display the partition drive letter for the next command.)
chkdsk /r /v W:
(change the drive letter W: to the partition drive letter displayed in the command result)
Using Windows Recovery Environment (RE) it typically displays ETA.
The media creation tool freezes at 50% when trying to create an "installation media" to flash drive. It freezes when I try to close it and have to close it via task manager. Cant do ISO since I have nothing to burn it to a DVD. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Find another computer to create a bootable Windows 10 iso.
See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative, or local computer store that may loan or make one for you.
Plan to use it for the in place upgrade repair.
Another option to run chkdsk switches is to open the recovery environment on the computer.
Open safe mode with command prompt and type or copy and paste: chkdsk /r /v C:

Have to go to bed. Will open new thread first thing in the morning. Completely forgot I have external DVD drive that writes too.
I have 2 other PCs if a secondary is necessary during this troubleshooting process. Thank for everything. Will post here when new thread is created.

These are some steps for the new thread:
Open disk management > by default some columns are compressed > widen each Status and Volume > make sure the contents within the parenthesis are in full view and that none of the characters are cutoff > view disk 0 > widen this row as needed so that all of the characters are in full view > post an image into the thread

Run each V2 and DM and upload results into the new thread:

6) chkdsk /scan

9) bcdedit /enum {badmemory}
10) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
