Wait whats the difference between HHD and SSD? You mentioned SSD would make it faster, but what are the differences otherwise?

SSD's are faster and smaller... Below is a link to a SSD that is a exact fit for your moms laptop

Solid State Drives have no moving parts and are like memory chips but store the information and can be read and written to just like a traditional hard drive. The latter uses spinning disks and reads the data by moving a tiny head over the disk that detects the binary data, it is much slower in comparison.

You might have to find a friend, that knows how to remove and install the drive into her laptop, as it should only be done by someone that knows how dear. Good Luck

Yeah, I wasn't planning on doing that myself. I had a hard enough time filling out her computer's info on the My computer tab. I can barely take apart an engine on a car, trying to replace something in something smaller and sleeker than that would be an absolute nightmare lmao.

    And thank you so much!
