Windows10-1809 64bit.
Yesterday .NET cumulative 2019_08 was installed - KB4512192, restarted, all seems OK.
Today Windows tells me to install 2019_07, KB4507419.
I checked Update history and I already have it installed July25.
Windows10 doesn't allow me to unclick it and it is bundled with more recent defender update which I would like to install. I can't because that darn Download button will do both.
What can I do now?
Thank you. Unfortunately this comment mentioned a microcode fix, but no link. I googled all over the place and have found nothing. Decided to image, again, and bite the bullet. Installed and things seem unharmed. That goofy old, renewed?, patch did put in a whole mess of .NET files in, so I guess it really did something. Reboot was required.

Thanks a bunch for the links. I've read about the microcode mitigations for Spectre, Meltdown and all such lovely junk.
But in the context of .NET framework it surprised me. I'm not well versed in all that stuff.
