Forgot to block W10 Feature Update 1903 with Show or Hide Updates Tool

I use the Windows 10 Show or Hide Updates Tool (wushowhide) every day to check what updates want to download. So I can hide them if I don't want them.

Today, I forgot to hide the Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1903, on one of my computers before I shut down. So I assume it hasn't downloaded to my system yet, but it will if I turn it on again.

Is there a way to undo this and prevent it from downloading when I turn it on again?

I see there are ways to stop it if it has already downloaded. I don't see anything to prevent it from downloading and reset it for the Show or Hide Updates Tool.

Thanks so much. This is for Windows 10 Home.

I forgot to add that the computer uses Ethernet and it is set to a Metered Connection. Will that stop a Feature Update from downloading?

Hi, why don't you use WUMT/Sledgehammer? Seems you're taking a difficult fraught route..
Download Sledgehammer (formerly WUMT Wrapper Script) - MajorGeeks

This blocks updates, then you can run a manual scan when you want, and choose which updates you want.
    Description at that link.

Elementary things like a metered connection can be readily overcome by MS- which warns that will happen.

There is a discussion or tutorial about cancelling a downloaded update somewhere but can't find it. You can try seaching the tutorial section, or perhaps someone else will remember it.

I didn't know about WUMT/Sledgehammer. I don't think that will help me in this situation now, right? It sounds like WUMT/Sledgehammer does some of the same things as the Windows Update Show or Hide Updates Tool (wushowhide), which I use.

Again, it hasn't downloaded the update yet. I'm hoping for a solution for that scenario.

it does much more and is quite different. I don't think you read the description or have begun to understand it.

And thank you for your reply.

Sorry to hijack, just wanted to thank you for linking Sledgehammer. I had reverted this update and gone back, but now my PC is trying to install it again so this is very helpful.

Indeed- for people whose PC or particular programs prove not quite compatible with a particular build.
In my case, if I had Home, I'd need it to delay installation of the next build, because it takes 3-4 months for one program I use to be updated for compatibility.

    Hey there,
I did install what you linked, however, on my little menu to shut down, sleep, restart, etc it says update and restart. I think I can shut it down normally without issue, but how do I get rid of the update and restart?
Please keep thread- related issues to the thread- PM space is limited and the box gets full quickly. Thanks!

    You could try

Note: I've never tried this, so research further.
