    If you would care to format that into a readable set of paragraphs with line spaces and sentences, that would help enormously.

    Could you please state precisely what type your original license was, its Windows edition, how obtained, whether retail or OEM? Presumably you are saying it resulted in you having Win 10 Home.

    You then appear to refer to upgrading to Pro- how did you expect to do that? This is the normal way:
    Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro

    And could you please then explain what this DVD is to which you refer - its Windows edition, how obtained, whether retail or OEM? And what use did you expect to be able to make of it?

    Please run this free utilty and post the result.
    ShowKeyPlus

    Thank you.

    Just change your installed product key to:
    VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T

    That should solve your problem.

    Change Product Key in Windows 10

    The Windows 8 Professional OEM product key shown by Showkey (Which you should blank out in your post, BTW) should be stored in the computer's BIOS and that is what should be used by Windows 10 Pro to activate.

    A MAK key being used on a personal computer outside of a corporate environment typically indicates that the user purchased Windows 10 from a less than reputable third party promising the activation of Windows 10 at a very cheap price.

    That is the first release of version 1803 from April 2018, the .1 indicates it has not had any updates yet. It should say 17134.950 if it was fully up to date. 1803 reaches end of support in November 2019.

    Installed Key: MAK key not available {explain please}
    A MAK key is a volume licence only available to corporate customers. This would likely be the key you got with the DVD, suggesting it came from a less than reputable source. You can check the product key you got with the DVD in ShowKeyPlus.

    OEM Key: CMNVM-*****-*****-*****-72WYP {this was the code, and accepted}
    OEM Edition: Win 8 RTM Professional OEM:DM

    This key is embedded in the bios of the PC and shows that it was originally supplied Win 8 Pro. This key entitles the PC to run W10 Pro, so there was no need to purchase a dubious DVD in order to get Windows 10 Pro.

    As we cannot be certain of the integrity of the Windows you installed (the fact that it says the installed key is a MAK key suggests that it may be a pirated version) it would be safest to clean install the latest W10 direct from Microsoft. Make the install USB, boot from it and install W10. Setup will detect the W8 Pro key in the bios and use it to install W10 Pro and activate it legitimately. You will want to back up any user files before doing a clean install.
