Right now its like one is installing in the status percentage.

The other ones show status as pending install. So just wait till its all done right?

Also i noticed right now, my local disk drive instead of 39gb free of 231gb, its all the way to 32gb free of 321gb now... it seems like it might drop to even lower by the time all these updates are done?

I also like to say that i have never went to click on windows updates and check for updates ever...
Everything that is going on is perfectly normal. Let it be. Let it all finish. Yes, free space will decrease some for now. Later after you do cleanups, free will go up.. NOT NOW, later...........

Okay it updated. Now shows i have about 31gb free of 231gb total. Previously it was 38gb free out 231gb.

And before me doing the windows 10 update, i had like 29gb free of 232gb.

    I typed in the winver.

Everything looks exactly like your picture

    Version 1903 OS Build 18362.295

The only difference is at the bottom it says this product is licensed to:

Okay so right now im all good... everything updated correctly right?

One other thing. Almost everyday i get this update notification in the bottom right to update java. I probably gotten this message for years already but never updated it. Is that fine? Or should i update it? I basically just close the message every single day.

Also im not sure if this is the right subforum, but how do i free up space on my laptop?

This is an excellent time to bite the bullet and teach yourself how to do a backup. You can't keep putting that off. Right now, it doesn't matter what you use to do it, it needs to be done.

I have to go to dinner, please think about it.

You've successfully gotten here with no apparent bad issues from 1803 to 1903. You owe it to yourself to protect your work and data.

Please think about it and make it a priority. For your own good.

One thing at a time. Please, you need a backup before you go start cleaning things up and deleting.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

Hi there. I took a look at the link for macrium reflect. So when i do this, do i download the free one or use the one with the 30 day free trial?

Also, someone in another thread mentioned that if i do a backup image of my computer right now... then i have windows 10 pro in it.

So they seem to infer that say once i do this backup image... save it to external hard drive right? Then once i do that. Then once i buy the 500gb or 1tb m.2 ssd and get it, then i remove my 2.5 inch 250gb ssd and the 32gb m.2 ssd and put the new m.2 ssd in? Then once i do this... start my laptop like its a brand new laptop right? Then when i do this, it would then install windows 10 home edition right? I will most likely get a samsung m.2 ssd. Then after i do the installation process... then my computer will be completely empty right? Like imagine i got a 1tb m.2 ssd. It will probably show like 920gb available out of total 960gb?

Then i connect my external hard drive to my laptop via usb cable... then transfer the image copy to it? Once i do that, then my laptop will look exactly like how it does now? But instead of it showing 30gb available out of 232gb available, it probably show like 720gb available out of 960gb or something like that?

Also this would mean when i turn off the laptop... then turn it on, it will ask me to type in my bitlocker pin and windows 10 password like i do now with my laptop?

If all of this is true, then yes I will do the backup image with macrium because this would mean a new ssd, i dont have to install windows 10 pro and have to download everything etc to it.

But is there a reason why ppl talk about cloning then? So what i want is much simpler and can be done with the macrium reflect? Again if this is all true, that seems amazing. Because i wouldnt need to uninstall windows 10 pro on this ssd first and activate in the new ssd right?

Also does anyone have an estimate of how long this process takes to do the image backup with macrium? My ssd used up about 200gb. How many hours would that be estimated?

Several errors in your thinking in the above paragraphs. The only thing you would "install" is Macrium itself. You would make an image and then restore it. No more, no less.

On my PC, maybe a half hour. On yours, probably more, but not several hours. That's to make the image file.
