Let it go and don't touch anything until its finished !

Hi there. It went to 100%

    Now i see message says

    Windows preparing...

Now the screen goes to my windows 10 locked screen. Thus the one where i click on it and then have to enter my windows 10 password.

I then typed in my password and then i get his error message that says

My classic shell is not compatible or something like that with aero 8.1? I then clicked retry and it didn't work a few times. Then i just closed it.

So now my laptop is fully updated?

What i find strange is my 250gb ssd hard drive before this update was around 29gb free of 232gb. Now it shows 39gb free of 231gb?

At the moment i can use my laptop fine after i closed that message. It was like dmw or dmv with a red x and said something about not compatible classicshell with aero 8.1? I dont remember what it say exactly because i closed and cancelled it.

So is there anything else i have to do? I thought there was a 3rd process in this? Thus the percentage to 100%... i read its suppose to happen 3 times?

Also it downloaded microsoft edge for me... well its on my desktop icon now... that is normal?

I shut down laptop. Then turned it on again.

I had to enter my bitlocker pin, then my windows 10 password.

    I get these 2 messages

    Red X... dwm.exe

Aero Glass for win8.1+ incompatibility issue

Aero glass does not know how to hook your version of dwm (0xFF7)

You should download appropriate symbols package for your operating system from microsoft website and press retry button.

When i click retry, it doesn't work. So i have to click cancel to get rid of this message.

There is also message that shows up a bit after that

    Classic Start Menu

Classic shell needs to configure itself for the new operating system. When i click Okay for this.

    I get Red message

    User Account Control
This app has been blocked for your protection.

An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more info, contact the admin.

    ClassicStartMenu.exe
    Publisher: Unknown
File origin: hard drive on the computer
    Program location c:/program files/class shell/classstartmenu.exe" -upgrade

The only option here i can click is close and then it closes

So as of now, did my windows update correctly? It does show im using the latest version of windows. But what about these 2 messages?

And why do i now have more gb free than earlier? 29gb free of 232gb total but now 38gb free of 231gb? Doesn't this update use 7gb? So shouldn't i have like 22gb free instead? Why did the total 232gb change to 231gb now?

The Edge shortcut can be deleted. Just a shortcut MS likes to throw at you.

Check for updates, if any. Unless you are short on disk space, you can put off any cleanup. It really is time to learn how to do a backup. Sooner than later. It's for your own good.

You can go back and reinstall Classic Shell, not an issue. Don't know what you're saying about the 100% 3 times stuff. You're way past the upgrade and running. Need to verify what you are running, that's why the WINVER request. Let all your updates finish, there will be some more reboots with the cumulatives. Just be patient, it has to clean itself up and get up to date.

Don't unplug anything or turn anything off.

Good. When all is done, all updates everywhere, the WINVER command should give you this.

Right now its like one is installing in the status percentage.

The other ones show status as pending install. So just wait till its all done right?

Also i noticed right now, my local disk drive instead of 39gb free of 231gb, its all the way to 32gb free of 231gb now... it seems like it might drop to even lower by the time all these updates are done?

So doing this is a requirement for updates?

I also like to say that i have never went to click on windows updates and check for updates ever...
