Error - Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based

2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512508) -Error 0x800f0982

Hi,
I have this error when trying to install the update it reaches 100% install
But then gives the error failed to install
I have tried most of fixes by googleing the Error 0x800f0982 -Error it gives
And tried deleting the distrubution folder
But still having no joy when trying to install this Cumulative Update
Not sure if should pause the updates untill Microsoft fixes the issue
But worry when pausing the updates you not getting updates protecting your computer.

After making sure you have complete system image and data file backups, you might try a clean installation of W10 1903, then applying the latest Cumulative Update again.

Another possibility is to uninstall one or more of the previous CU's installed since the upgrade to 1903, then apply the latest and greatest CU only to become current. Best of luck!

Same thing here with last two Cums. Did a Repair Install, all good now. May have been incompatible video driver but faster than trying to diagnose or tryng what you already have, which I did too- Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade | Tutorials

There is no option to uninstall critical security packages. I even tried from a command line.

I went to windows download - Create Windows 10 installation media
And then selected UPDATE THIS PC = Upgrade this PC = And inststalled win 10
Thus installed the updates - Clicking on control panel win 10 and then clicking on view installed updates
Shows the 2019-08 Cumulative Update (KB4512508) as installed
So all looks OK
