Update kb4507469 (64-Based) successfully installed but it has failed.

I ran an update successfully of KB4507469 on 7.10.19 for my Dell XPS 27 64 bit windows 10. Since then, I've encountered 17 failed install attempts - 0x800f0984 for the same update whenever I make my daily scan for updates. I can't find any way to remove the update attempt of KB4507469 from trying to install whenever I scan for updates. Any help out there?

Did this machine originally have 7 Installed?

No, my XPS has had a working windows 10 version for some time. It seems to work fine now also, its just maddening that it keeps wanting to install an update that was already successfully installed. Originally out of the box it came with windows 8 installed.

I can't find any way to remove the update attempt of KB4507469 from trying to install whenever I scan for updates.
This is termed 'hide windows updates' - as from at least Win 7.
Hide or Show Windows Updates in Windows 10

Please see the relevant News article
    Cumulative Update KB4507469 Windows 10 v1809 Build 17763.615 - July 9
    where you can find
    - link to download it manually
    - description and users' experience of installing it

As described above by Try3, try resetting WU before reattempting.

Given the error number, please feel free to use a search engine for further ideas.

Just wondering why you feel the need to run a scan for windows Updates daily- presumably manually. This is managed automatically, and updates aren't released that often anyway. A few are not offered via WU.
