Updates failed - Office XP - 0x80248007

All,
There is a problem with the Office XP update, although installed on my PC. The update is calling for Proofing tools, in which is installed too. I tried removing the DataStore and Download in the SoftwareDistribution and that did not work. Is there something that I did not do?

So if its unsupported, which is already known, how in the world is it in there? How do you remove an update?

But,
How do you remove the Office XP update from the system permanently? Clean install?

While office XP is no longer supported, it still runs fine on windows 10, I have 2 laptops that proof that.
My advice: just ignore the update info.

There is nothing to remove because the update failed to install. You don't need it anyway, not unless you use the Dutch language in your documents.

If you really want it you can download the standalone package from the link above. If you don't want it you should be able to hide the update with wushowhide.diagcab.

I won't run ancient MS office apps under Win10 older than Office 2k (2000).
