Questions about doing a reset to my OEM Win 10

Hi to all, first post here :) really need your advice.

I was putting a different activation key in my ASUS zenbook equipped with Win 10 Home edition OEM. Did a mistake by doing that, and it was apparently a win 10 enterprise edition key.

So now I have a non activated Windows 10, and can't return to my original Home activation, since I have no key of it (it's OEM).

How can I undo my mistake and return to the previous working state of my Windows 10, hence returning to the OEM activation of win 10 home edition I had?

Your help will by highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
    Nir.

You will have to reinstall Windows.

    Welcome to the Forum.

Did you try a previous restore point?

Depending on how much you have messed with the partitions on your Zenbook, you may still have a factory restore option to put the laptop back to it's out-of-the-box state. Did the Zenbook come with Windows 10 already installed or did you upgrade to 10 yourself?

Factory restore will format the C: partition and you will loose all your data.
Try first the a previous restore point. If it doesn't work, try a Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade. It will reinstall win 10, keeping your data and programs. Skip when asked to insert the key.

Well the laptop is pretty new so I didn't mess with anything as much as I know of... didn't touch any partition settings.
The zenbook came with Win 10 home edition pre-installed straight out of the box, it didn't upgrade to it.

If i understand it correctly, i will need an ISO or USB to do this? Cause i haven't got any, since it was pre-installed in my new Zenbook...

I'm currently at work so my laptop isn't near me, but I'll check again when I'm next to it, in a few hours. From what I recall, there were no restore points that I could return to... :-\

I can give you a M$ link to download a Win 10 iso file. It can be the latest version (1903) or the current version. Up to you.
Let me know what version you want to use on the Repair install
You download and mount the iso and run setup.

And since it came out of the box, have you made a lot of changes and program additions you'd rather not repeat doing/installing? Saving any docs you've created can be a trivial exercise if you just want a restored OEM setup.

That's very kind of you, thanks! I'm just a bit afraid as I'm not an expert in this, and I'm afraid I'll ruin my Windows\laptop warranty...

I would have made a screenshot of my "Activation" window in Settings, but it's in a language you won't understand... Will it help you anyway to help me determine what to do exactly in my situation?
It shows now as if my Windows version is Enterprise because that was the faulty key that was given to me by a friend... although as mentioned before, my original version is Home 64bit. Actually, my original wish was to have Win 10 Pro instead of my Home version... and that's what started all this mess.
BTW - I'm willing to buy a Win 10 Pro activation key from eBay if you'll say I need to reinstall Windows, so I can have to Pro version and not the Home version again.

It's always nicer to keep my files but there aren't a lot of those, so I guess I could backup to my external HD whatever I'd like to keep, and then restore and reinstall all of it again... :)
I just want my laptop and especially Windows running correctly again.

Thanks again for helping guys! waiting for your response :)

Your "friend" doesn't know much about Windows. An Enterprise license needs to be authenticated by a Server and to change from home to pro you need to reinstall Windows, not only change the key.
A computer that once had a Win 10 activated (your case) doesn't need a key, so try to open the Change Product Key, leave it blank and hit next.
