When should I expect update to 1903 via Windows Update

Hi everyone. I was just wondering when I might expect to be offered the latest (1903) update.
    Thanks, Mark

    Hi Mark -

It's being rolled out in a phased manner.

I still have two recent systems that have not yet received the 1903 update.
You can always click on Windows Update (for fun) but it will be eventually available if you did not change any settings to block it.

    Hope this helps!

How long is a piece of string? Microsoft will gradually start offering it but it's not possible to say exactly when any particular machine will see it in windows update. As MS gather more telemetry, more machines will be offered the 1903 update.

I’m pleased today to share that we are beginning to make the Windows 10 May Update available. We will be taking a measured and throttled approach, allowing us to study device health data as we increase availability via Windows Update....
...Beginning today, the May 2019 Update is available for customers who .would like to install the latest release. If you are ready to install the update, open your Windows Update settings (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update) and select Check for updates...
How to get the Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903

If your machine is deemed ready to include in the initial rollout then 'Check for updates' will find it, but not many PCs will be in the initial phase. Of five machines I have that were running 1809, only one was offered 1903 on the launch date of 21st May. Note that if you are now on 1809 build 17763.529 or higher (17134.799 for 1803) then even if you are offered the update it is now optional, you can control when (or even if) you want to 'Download and install now'.

I did my main laptop via my preferred method - Repair upgrade with MCT created ISO. Also did that with the oldest device, a 5-6 yr old Toshiba laptop. An all-in-one HP desktop about 3-4 yrs old, received 1903 automatically and installed perfectly. A 2 yr old HP desktop got when clicking 'Check for updates'. The newest, a Surface has not received it, only 1809 Updates. Guess that covers all the bases

Yes, my preferred method too. All my other machines took the 1903 upgrade successfully by that method, though I have now chosen to restore the 1809 image for one machine.

I have now returned one of my machines to its Macrium 1809 image. This was because of graphics driver issues with Intel HD Graphics. ... The symptoms are seen in 1903 when playing a long (2 hour) .mp4 video in the 'Films & TV' app (aka 'Movies & TV' outside the UK). Trying to jump forwards to (say) 1hour 45 mins by clicking on the Seek bar the system would hang for up to a minute with about 40% CPU activity before the jump would complete. On the same machine In 1809 the jump forwards is instantaneous. This same effect is seen in all my other video processing apps, such as video editors...

...It's a shame really, because in all other respects 1903 works well. Video editing is one of my main uses for this particular machine, so it will stay on 1809 for now. I'll continue to use 1903 on my other machines.

The irony is, of all my machines that were on 1809, this particular one was the only one for which windows update showed the Features Update to 1903 as being available. .

Thanks for all the reply's. I just read an article in my Infopackets newsletter about issues with the latest update plus the problems mentioned in this thread. Never had problems with Windows 7 with its Service Pack updates. Windows 10 obviously always seems to have issues with its semi-annual updates. Again, all replies are much appreciated.

Just received 1903 on 1 of 2 remaining systems.
Everything went well, except for one thing:
