KB4493464 fails to install

    KB4493464 fails to install


    Yesterday I noticed KB4493464 has been failing to install. Error code 0x80073712. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit build 1803 on a i7 4790K. All other updates have and continue to install correctly but not KB4493464. I have tried from a clean boot with AV disabled. Uninstalled MBAM Premium. Cleaned C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Ran the update trouble shooter. Down loaded KB4493464 and tried to install and it's a no go. Any ideas?

    After beating my head against the wall enough I just downloaded 1809 ISO and did a clean install, problem solved.

    Hmm, could be an in-place upgrade repair which keeps progs and data and most settings would have resolved it.

    Unfortunate, but glad all is well.

    I have been running the same install for ever. With Microsucks 6 month forced in place upgrades. I'd switch to linux in a hart beat if I did not game. BTW I have everything I normally use installed and the system is performing much better than before. So it's a win win for me.

KB3176934 fails to install
in Windows Updates and Activation

A few minutes ago, Windows downloaded and installed some updates. All went fine, except for KB3176934 (one of updates named 1607). I tried various times. It downloads the update, install it, but after the restart it figures like "failed"
