    Yeah, I have about 3 forums I frequent. And a couple of other ones I go have a look see every now and then. I can only sit in a chair for so long due to back pain so it goes in spurts for me. An hour here and an hour there over the day.
    Hi there
    @alphanumeric
    Best solution for Back pain believe it or not is to go up and down stairs several times a day -- cheaper and infinitely more cost effective than gym memberships, jogging etc etc. Dog walking is another cheap and pleasant way of avoiding back pain plus advantage also if nice pub etc on the way - especially if other customers like dogs.

    Sitting for more than 60 mins at a desk in a relatively rigid pose as when using a computer isn't a good idea -- just walk around every so often.

    I did get back pain a while ago but found the best way was just to do exercise and the pain gradually disappeared -- fine now thanks to "Dog" !!!!

    Just got back from my morning walk in the woods with my dog Ginger. I've had chronic back pian for years now. I know all the ins and outs, what not to do etc. I just deal with it as best I can and life goes on. I have good days and bad days, thats just how it goes. I've been through physio etc. Will be seeing my doctor in an hour or so for more meds etc. My sciatica is the real pian in the but, literally. That hurts a lot more than my back ever does and makes sitting for any period of time very uncomfortable and eventually very painful. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, thats pretty well my daily routine these days.

    2013 to 2016 as a Microsoft MVP for me. Then they threw all of us on the consumer side, under the bus and made us Windows Insider MVP's. Went down hill from there IMHO. I renewed for 2017 but decided not to reapply in 2018.
    I'm not sure what's going on at Microsoft these days. I don't think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing most days.
    What does it mean to be a Microsoft MVP or Windows Insider MVP? Do you apply? Does Microsoft reach out to you?

    I was nominated as an MVP by another MVP. I applied and was accepted. Then each year you reapply to keep your status as an MVP. They review your contributions etc. Then if you were good enough you get reawarded for another year.

    Andre is a terrific guy. I met him last year at the MVP Summit in Redmond/Bellevue, and found him to be a knowledgeable and helpful guy. Been looking for an excuse to work with him since then, but for whatever reason things haven't "clicked!"
