Windows cannot boot after today's update

I think what happened is after today's update all of a sudden windows wants to boot from a different disk drive, though I'm not sure why. In bios it is set to boot from my boot drive.

As you can see Window Boot Repair is trying to use disks f and x for some reason all of a sudden instead of c. Not sure why and not sure how to fix that? It's like the update I just did installed files to the wrong drive?

Can't get into safe mode either.

Unplugging my other two drive (I have a 240 ssd boot that is my c drive and then a 500gb ssd for games and 1tb hdd for storage) it still won't boot. It then gives me the same error this time giving disk d and disk x instead of f and x as shown in the picture above.

System Restore says an unspecified error occurred (0x80070570).

Hi, which is "today's update" ? That can be different for different people- an update for 1803, 1809, an update from, say, 1803 to 1809, an update of an Insider build......

When a particular update is applied can be on different dates for different users.

And how was this update applied? - By Windows update? Manually?

Assuming your disk is intact, and you're not part way through a feature update (upgrade) which failed, you could try
    - booting from a Win 10 bootable medium and via option 'Repair your Windows..' navigate to Startup Repair
    - booting from a Macrium Reflect boot disk and use the useful Fix boot utility

Failing all of the above, please use a bootable partition manager to post a screenshot or photo of the partitions on your boot disk.

E.g. you could create Kyhi's bootable disk (top of the Software and Apps section) or use a bootable disk from a 3rd party partition manager.
