    Windows 10 1809 update

I clicked check PC updates by mistake and it automatically started downloading / installing 1809 build. I had a quick look online and it seems to be a opt in thing or being pushed to users Microsoft feel can handle it or something. My current Windows Build is 1803 (OS Build 17134.648) the new one will pop up the second I restart my PC.

Will I run into many issues with the 1809 build? If so how do I revert back?

Yes, MS have set it so that clicking Check for updates should now find 1809 for everyone.

I doubt you will have any problems. Many who have deliberately (or inadvertently) checked for updates have been pleasantly surprised. You'll have 10 days in which you can revert to your previous version in Settings > Recovery, after which the old windows install will automatically be deleted.

I very much doubt you'll feel the need to revert.

Thanks for the reassurance. As long as my games continue to run fine all shall be good.

Is this build going to get rolled out to everybody in the near future by the way?

1809 is now 5 months into its half-year as being the latest version. 1903 is expected in April, so those not already on 1809 may jump straight to that. It all depends on how fast MS decide to roll it out.

I'm wary of being quick to adopt feature updates. I just updated my two main PCs to v1809 via Windows Update with no problems.

No, you are completely up to date. 17134.648 was the March 2019 cumulative update for 1803.

What you and 71.6% of the world's PCs haven't seen yet is the Features Update to 1809. That is nothing to worry about, 1803 will continue to get all the latest security fixes.

Out of more than 100,000 PCs surveyed, only 21.2% run the October Update. While this number is almost double of what we've seen last month, it's still far away from the dominating April 2018 Update (71.6%).
