windows home edition 64 bit I occasionally disable windows updates from d/l to save bandwidth usage today I did that and it says stopping but after several hours hasn't. how can I spot it without using system restore?
Hi, you could perhaps be downloading build 1809- about 4Gb. You've not stated your Windows build or shown your Update History.

then either of
Windows Update Minitool or Windows Update Manager (Wumgr) - free
- these, amongst other things let you scan for and optionally (checkboxes) download and install updates.
You can also adjust the bandwidth used in Settings, and disable distribution from your PC.
