Disable win 10 update it re-enabled itself?

    Changed to a new MB have had zero trouble for weeks. Now using a Asus only bought a gigabyte motherboard because it was cheaper. It was my fist gigabyte motherboard and my last!!

    what were the models of those ASUS and Gigabyte boards you have, David9723?
    use Speccy to get the model #s of those boards

    I forgot to mention last time that starting with the 1803 version a new "update service" was added - "Windows Update Medic Service" (WaaSMedicSvc) that will re-enable the Windows Update service (wuauserv) if it was disabled previously; this new one also has to be disabled to turn off automatic updates
