People are saying it can come from a variety of different applications. Most i dont recognize, but there was a program people listed called Recover My Files, which i think i used to have installed back when an old harddisc died, and i tried to save some of the files. I dont have the program installed any more though.
I used the custom uninstall from Wise Uninstaller, and it removed the folder + 3 registry entries.

There's still the registry entries found by Revo Uninstaller though which points to the same folder i just removed.
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CodeMeter.exe

    EDIT:
Nvm, it seems to have been removed completely.

I dont think ill have time to do much more tonight, but tomorrow ill try and remove the Corsair related applications with Revo Uninstaller to completely remove registry and programs, and then see if the windows update works.
In the mean time ill leave you with this "funny" little picture of how much storage windows update is currently using :)

Good, some progress! When you've removed the Corsair utility, you can attempt the upgrade again using the iso but no updates to see what change there is in the log files - hopefully no ref. to that or Codemeter

You can of course remove the backup software distribution folders if you wish as discussed.

You could run Windows Disk Clean-up, for example.

There's no guarantee the upgrade will succeed yet; it's a matter of dealing with the problems flagged, and researching the errors in the log files.

not able to at this time
saw your earlier post and spent some time on the failure to upgrade today.

the drive free space is now insufficient for the upgrade

see the HD sentinel text report: 15.3 GB

OP should consider increasing free space to 30 GB so that if there are any dump files they are not automatically deleted.

Ive tried updating a couple of times today after ive uninstalled CodeMeter and Corsair ultilities. Unfortunately it seems to be much the same result as its been for almost a year now.

1803 - through windows update from yesterdays download, failed

1809 - through ISO, no internet, failed

1709 - through ISO, no internet, succeded, no issues

1809 - through ISO; no internet, failed (checking to see if the success of 1709 installation made any difference)

1809 - through ISO, no internet, no keyboard, failed (this might have been with a clean boot, but i dont quite remember, though at this point i dont think it wouldve made any difference anyhow. Also i disconnected the keyboard since its a Corsair and as the log stated there might be an issue with the Corsair ultility, and i wasnt sure if having it plugged in might install any basic data)

1809 - through ISO, no keyboard, clean boot, failed (the ISO asks if i would want to keep windows updated at each attempt, so it downloads extra data i assume, which is why i pulled the ethernet cable out for the other attempts, this attempt i tried to enable it see if it made any difference)

All of the attempts have been with more than 30 gb space.

I think using the ISO creates another folder called $Windows.~WS, so im uploading new logs from both this and the $WINDOWS.~BT folder as im not sure which one is required. Im guessing these files gets updated after each attempt.

There is a log collector used in another forum.
Run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread:
