No WIN 10 October 2018 update
I just tried to use a new feature in Lightroom CC and got an error message that said that it would only function with the October 2018 WIN 10 update. When I checked my computer the last recorded update (although there are many many more recent security updates) was June 6, 2018. Yet my computer is telling me that Windows 10 is fully up to date. Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum open a cmd prompt type winver what does it say if its the latest it should be 1809 if not down load it from Download Windows 10 just hit update

Windows update has been very slow at delivering build 1809, perhaps understandably after the problems when MS withdrew it for over a month after first release.
Some PCs are also blocked from receiving it- you can check restrictions in the thread about the re-release of 1809 in the News section.
MS tries to prioritise PCs which it believes present the least problems.
You can bypass all restrictions by getting an iso and manually upgrading. Create or update your disk image (e.g. Macrium Reflect (free) ) before doing so.
