    Unfortunately , NVidia indicates I do have the most recent driver (below result of the scan).

    I think it's time to give it up. I want to thank-you for all your help and effort in trying to get this old laptop updating. I'll probably restore it back to 7 at the end of tax season if a clean install to the most current doesn't work and donate the laptop somewhere. It actually does run pretty well. Next tax season, I'll use my 8.1 machine or update that (hopefully) to 10 if the tax people require it.

    Please post an updated BETA zip.

    Windows 1903 should be released by the end of the tax season.

    The bugcheck for multiple BSOD was 133 prameter 1.
    Often this needs Window Performance Recorder (WPR) to find the misbehaving driver.

    Sometimes the misbehaving driver can be found by using Windows driver verifier.

    A misbehaving driver may not be all that is necessary to fix the upgrade failure.
    However it is likely to improve the likelihood of success once there are no longer any misbehaving drivers using the tool.

    This is a Dell D820 running 10 pro x32 (won't run x64). Got to 10 by doing an upgrade about six months ago over win7 pro to activate it, then did a clean 10 pro install. As far as drivers, the only drivers are those from the install or update.
    the problem lies in the CPU chip for the Dell Latitude D820, spokey. the 1809 version of Win10 does not seem to install nor work with Intel Yonah processors (and older CPUs like Celeron Ms & Pentium Ms) as your Dell D820 laptop is using an Intel T2600 Core Duo CPU chip (a Yonah cpu) and would hang on reboot.

    I had experienced a similar problem with an old Dell Inspiron 640m/e1405 laptop as I mentioned the problem in this thread. the 1809 version would not install nor work because of an incompatibility problem with the T2700 processor I had on there. it was only after upgrading & replacing that cpu chip with a Core 2 Duo Merom version (like the T7600) that the 1809 release would install and work on the e1405 laptop.

    Beta log is attached. No new drivers or anything installed for this.

    Opinion on erpster4's comment that it simply doesn't work with this cpu?

    Not sure I'm ready to replace the cpu. Not that expensive, but enough that I will need to think about it (looks like somewhere between $50-$100 on amazon for a T7600, haven't check other sources). Also cringe at taking laptops apart and I just did this one a couple months ago to replace the hinges although a quick look makes it appear that pretty much exactly the same procedure to get at the cpu so I have recent experience.
    Any suggestions on figuring out compatibility with replacing the cpu? I don't really know much about making sure the rest of the machine (chipsets etc) play well with which cpus.

    your laptop does support core 2 duos like the T7600 processor I mentioned. as long as your D820 laptop has bios revision A07 or higher (latest bios for D820 is A10), you can use the T7600 cpu.

    edit: check out the Dell Latitude D820 Service Manual on how to replace/upgrade the processor chip

    For any BSOD:
    a) post a new BETA log collector zip
    b)open file explorer > thisPC > C: > in the right upper corner search for:
    C:\windows\memory.dmp > if the file size is <1.5 GB then zip > post a separate share link into the thread

    A question on the driver version. NVidia's driver check on their site indicates I have the most recent driver (post #41 ) but your post is suggesting a presumably more recent volume at 9.x. Mine is 7.x
