    Windows Defender Not Updating


    Okay for some reason since last night I can't get windows defender to update, the dotted lines just keep going not doing anything. Even doing it through windows update just has it hang a 0%. I had to restart Windows update through services to stop it. In order for me to update I had manual download it from the Windows website, is anyone else having this issue?

    Also before anyone asks yes I ran troubleshooter and it found nothing wrong and I can still download other windows updates since last weeks update just came to me last night. I just cant for some reason download new defender definitions.

    I have also seen this problem with windows defender stuck at 0% when updating. It may be related to similar issues with windows update and error message "We couldn't connect to the update service" reported elsewhere on this forum.

    Yep I saw that thread as well as another for saying that Defender is stuck at 0 percent for them too. Glad its not just me. Even Xbox one is giving everyone black screen issues. Man MS is getting bad right now.
