Windows 10 updates undoes all my computer settings

AN NONSENSE: every time Windows 10 updates do itself, it undoes all the computer settings such as desktop, taskbar, color, resolution, start, everything, etc, an MS nonsense. It returns settings to original/standar way, deleting all befores configs. The update code is KB4480966, that it confess that it done a many kinds of troubles and that no solutions still to it

How to prevent that and restore everything again? I'm tired of spending hours reconfiguring everything again.

Why does updates undo everything that I done and install the original configuration and no keeping the before configuration by user?

All this happened before with others 3 Pc

What Version is that KB4480966 supporting? I understand it is for OS Build 17134.523; but what Version 1803, 1809?

Hmmm, looks like it is version 1803 - you are a bit out of date: unless you are opting to run out of date.

I really don't recall any changes that can be tweaked to OS Build Updates - you get what you get or you don't get the updates at all.

I haven't experienced any system wide changes in the last couple of Cumulative Updates - matter of fact, everything is where I left it and all privacy settings remained the same.

Your settings are usually stored in a configuration file and should still exist. How to recover them and get back your old settings is another matter depending on whether it was an in place upgrade, a system restore, a system reset (keeping files and settings), factory reset or a clean install.
