If there are updates or upgrade problems that you want to troubleshoot then you may be able to look in the logs.
Many of the error messages and codes are ambiguous.

Specific failure codes can be troubleshooted and fixed.
Some of them are time consuming and others are relatively easy.

There is a log collector that is used in another forum.
It can collect many useful logs for troubleshooting.
Run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread:
BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums
    https://www.tenforums.com/attachment...-v2-beta15.zip
    (extract all > open)
For failure to upgrade troubleshooting that likely will require additional logs.

From what you described so far it appears that you use software to block updates and upgrades and that the problem is not a failure to upgrade but a failure to update? (for example if you turned off the software and then attempted to upgrade to 1809 it's likely or unlikely to upgrade?)

Had you see a specific error message such as failed to upgrade the reserved partition?

When you post the zip there may be more information and if more is needed it can be posted.

On one hand, I want to try out 1803/09, on other I want to keep my stable system.
Can I revert update to 1607 after install?
1803/09 had crashed my low-end PC, so I clean installed 1607.

there are option to Disable Updates, in my case I will try to disable Feature update, and then search for updates via OS build-in tool.
I have used the CMD files mentioned in this post to disable automatic updates.
I have used Windows Update MiniTool to hide the feature update and search for updates as shown below:

About spare space for Recovery, I still cannot move my unallocated 1GB to Recovery.

If there wont be these 16MB on my way, I could extent EFI, and then just grab that space to Recovery.
Same is with standard Disk management, it only allows me to shrink Recovery, because there are no free/unused space next to it.

Now I have left all settings as it was before applying update restrictions via DWS utility. So now system should be as "out of the box".
    -
About full disk backup. (Few minutes ago I created full* backup of Windows partitions)
I don't care that much about macOS and Linux, because they were installed because of my curiosity. Yes it took some time get it done, but now I don't use these systems, and still its nice to have them ready to go.

    About logs.
    Found this article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...sion-of-window)
But I found only few of them. And there are not much information. At the moment its easier to work with 0x800F0922 error I think.

    About hiding updates.
Tried official utility, and 1803 was hidden.
But after some time, after checking updates via OS built-in tool, I got this screen.

Two folder appeared on C drive:
    - $WINDOWS.~BT
    - Windows 10 Update Assistant

For me it was a sign, that windows is trying to install feature update. I'm I right?

I would never do the above so as to avoid the following:

So now probably solution could be, block via Utility 1803, and get other updates, and then try install CU one?

Use Windows Update MiniTool to hide unwanted updates and install the ones you want.
