Well I take that back. Your recovery is less than 500 MB. If, and I did say if, it needs to bigger to fit I assume the "system" does not know where to get the additional 150MB.

Wonder if you could un-allocate a half Gig from one of the other partitions on Disk 0 and if it would find that space and allocate a new Recovery in that space.

That 15GB and 22GB partitions look empty as well as the 620MB. Do you know what they are for?

Would be nice to get a second opinion on that approach

    1) Which software is in use to block Windows updates?

    2) Update the specs in the "My Computer section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    3) If you upgrade Windows there is a 10 day rollback period.
This time period can be modified.

There is no guarantee that it will work when you want to use it.

    3) Alternatively you can make a backup image.
The backup image can be saved to freeze that moment in time and then restore the image.
This way you would be back where you started and can then look at the pro and con of other options.

    4) If you understand the tradeoffs there are multiple options.
For example if your system is stable you can remain with an unsupported operating system with one update that did not install.
Many upgrade to the latest operating system without problems.
And at the same time there are many that do have problems whether is it loss of files, brightness, audio, wireless, etc.

    5) Windows 1607 has Windows defender and that should continue to update and provide malware protection.
There are possible malware / ransomware vulnerabilities that are not fixed using any antivirus product and require a Windows upgrade. For example Spectre and Meltdown: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ectre-meltdown

Windows upgrades to 1709, 1803, or 1809 can be performed using the applicable iso.

    Windows upgrades can be stopped:

There are post (Win 10 1607 - Unable to Install Update KB4091461 - Error 0x800f0922 - Microsoft Community) where user even with recovery expanding did not managed install update.

Marked ones, are definitely in use.
    - EFI, there are Clover boot manager.
    - WIN, Windows 10
    - EXT3, Linux Manjaro
    - 22,41GB, macOS Sierra
I remember that for successful macOS install I expanded EFI partition to 200MB, and there were some limits, where you could expand current partition with space before or after. Without pointing to use space from different part of the drive.
Its easy to shrink/extend partition when its next to one, that can be shrinked/extended too.

    1) DWS (https://github.com/Nummer/Destroy-Wi...es/tag/2.2.2.2) I use this just to block sneaky updates.

    2) Done*

    3) When I tried to install 1709 via updates, there were problems when I tried to rollback to 1607.

So what is the 600MB. If empty and not in use nothing to lose by trying.

This is Recovery partition from macOS, seems like software does not understand HFS partitions.
I can definitely shrink WIN partition, but as I said, software does not understand how to extend partition then you want to grab space from partition, that is not close.

Do you have something to Image your entire disk that you have proven will restore it?

I could shrink one part. then expand second, and like that move some space to Recovery, but there is 16MB Reserved partition, on my way, and dont know where it comes from.

    That is Windows, likely MSR

How about just reducing C: by 500MB and see if windows will install the new recovery there.

Do you have working imaging tool?

Already removed 1GB from WIN partition.
But will continue all this stuff tomorrow, because it's too late.
By imgtool you mean tool for shrinking/expanding or to create system image for backup?

The problem for me will be, how to attach this 1GB to recovery, or system will manage this automatically, ...

Something that backs up your disk so that all your OS's can be restored.

Then if you mess around and something heads south you can restore.
