Wow, Maybe I should have installed the Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Version 1607.
Unfortunately MS only make it available to their business customers with volume licences

The support for older editions of Windows may not be an all or none situation.

For example a computer with Windows 1607 had the following Windows updates:

    Successfully installed dates:
    02/15/2019 Update for Windows 10 version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)
    02/13/2019 Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - February 2019 (KB890830)

well there are "other ways" to get the older LTSB 2016 release (since I do use it on one of my old PCs) but I will not discuss it here in the forums

also certain hybrid laptops & tablet PCs with built-in Intel Atom Cloverview or "Clover Trail" CPUs (these processors are 32bit/x86 only) running Win10 v1607 (any edition not counting ltsb 2016) will continue to receive updates until Jan. 2023 as promised by MS

Really??? I would be interested in finding about these "other ways" but of course we can't discuss it here. Probably some top secret squirrel stuff I'm sure.

you just have to look in other forums to find out (again, i won't talk about it in ten forums), if you want a hint send me a PM.

the tips TEMPUSER221218 provided in replacing the wcp.dll file with an older one no longer work if newer SSUs like KB4485447 (which completely replaces KB4132216 and actually prevents KB4132216 from installing) are installed. the wcp.dll file will have to be copied and overwritten to a different folder if KB4485447 is installed.

    erpster4 ,
So as I understood, my suggestion works, bus as I mentioned there, you need to check paths. Probably they will change, if difference you have different updates installed, that have some modification wcp.dll.

yes, the folder path is different when KB4485447 SSU is installed - look for 10.0.14393.2782 in the folder path and replace the wcp.dll file with the older one.

MS will release their final updates (CUs) for v1607 education & enterprise this April 2019 in which these editions will go out of support on 4/9/2019.

    edit 4/12 - that would be KB4493470 for 1607
next months CUs (May 2019) will only support LTSB 2016 - so the methods that TEMPUSER221218 mentioned of installing new CUs will no longer work with any cumulative updates beyond April 2019
