    kb4471332 update won't install

    Hi,

kb4471332 update won't install. I have tried several times and every-time it reboots to finalise the install it gets to 94% complete and fails, then has to roll back the update.

I have done a relatively new clean install of windows 10 as I replaced my HDD about 2 weeks ago. No default locations have been changed etc. have even tried CCleaner before install by to no avail.

Any ideas on how to get this update to complete the installation and not keep rolling back??

    Welcome to tenforums.

Have a look at your Update History. Is an error number shown there? If so, try researching it.

You could then also look at relevant log files.

It appears I am getting the error message 0x800f0922. After doing some research this is caused by either:

    1. .NET Framework not installed or active or

    2. Low System Reserved partition space.

I have checked my .NET Framework and all seems OK, But I am not too sure about the Low System Reserved partition space. I have checked my drives with EaseUS Partition Master and I have two "extra" drives. One is labeled System, it is 100 MB in size and has 4.00KB free; second is labeled Windows RE Tools which is 782 MB in size with 771.68MB free.

I am not too sure which one is the one that could cause the Low System Reserved partition space error or how to make it bigger in size. Any ideas??

Finally solved and fixed the issue!!!

It appears I had Low System Reserved partition space. My System Reserved Partition was only 100MB in size, something had filled it completely up leaving me with only 4KB of free space.

I tried to give it some more space but the issue was that it was installed on an EFI partition, and I was using an older version of Partition Master (Version 11, they're now up to 13) I was using wouldn't allow me to increase the size of it. But after I updated to a newer version, and a few nail-biting moments while it did its work and my PC rebooted I am back up and running and the update installed without a hitch!! )

Well done- good analysis. Surprising Easeus PM is version sensitive. (I have v12.5). Minitool Partition Wizard is another good one.
