Update Server Disablement - How do I make it Permanent ?

I have had to disable the update server on my Windows 10 laptop because of limited data allowance. This was easy to do thanks to the Forum tutorials, but it will not stay disabled - within a day or two it's "Running" again. Is there a way I can keep the update server disabled until I CHOOSE to enable it ?

There's a sticky thread on this: Stop Windows 10 Updates Properly and Completely Solved - Windows 10 Forums. Hope you find it useful. David Xanatos Windows Update Manager (WuMgr.exe) also provides great controls to give users complete discretion about when and how updates happen in Windows 10.

    HI Ed,
Thanks for your reply and the link it contained. The WUMT Wrapper Script seems to be what I was looking for to control updates. Regards, Rob N.
