Dell replaced motherboard/HD, re-installed Winows Pro, won't activate

Dell replaced my motherboard and hard drive under warranty. I re-installed Windows 10 Pro from the Dell recovery partition. Everything was fine, bu I see that my Windows is not activated. Why is that. I first bought this laptop in May 2017, and When I went through the first time new user account setup wizard, I used a Microsoft account, so I know my Windows copy was linked to my Microsoft account. I went into my Microsoft account and under devices I deleted all the old devices and left this remaining.
I just can not get Pro to activate.

    Error code is: 0xC004C003

You have a generic OEM key - it won't activate with that on new hardware.

Dell are supposed to give you a new OEM key with the RMA. OEM licences even if linked to an MSA will not transfer to new hardware.

I'm only 1 year into my 4 year warranty. So your saying I should call Dell and tell them that I need a new OEM key. Can you tell me exactly what you mean by RMA? What should I do and say when I call Dell?

P.S. The troubleshooter did not work.

Tell them they took way your activation/key with the old motherboard, and must supply you with a new one as the replaced motherboard does not have a factory OA3 activation key.

They are normally good at this (you get a small envelope with a new product key) .. suspect the service centre you were dealing with are a bit sleepy.

Just got off the phone with Dell. Their sending me a key via FedEx in less than 48 hours, and all I had to do was show them your Avatar

And that is still the case.
In the last month, I have had two new motherboards sent to me by Dell. Both came with documentation and new activation keys.
