    windows update desktop screen icons

After the last Windows update today all of these icons shown in the screen suddenly appeared & I canít
delete them or do anything with them. I canít do a system restore as no restore points are showing. I did the restore about 3 or 4 monthís ago but they donít show up now.
When I click the file explorer on the taskbar I can see the screen captures from clicking the desktop shown in the left side navigation pane, but they donít show on my desktop monitor screen.

    Hi oldyeller38

Try changing your background picture to a solid colour.

    Start Settings Personalization

The icons are likely part of an old screen capture.

Thanks for your reply Ken. Yesterday while reading the Windows 10 newsletter, it reported that the latest 10 update was probably the culprit so I tried changing my desktop screen & it worked. I tried changing the screen back to the picture of my late wife & the 'stuff' was still there, so changed to an earlier picture of her & all seems like back to normal.
While reading some of the responses to the MS screwup with this update; MS personale should have red faces.

    Can't disagree with you there.
