Make a brand new restore point.

Create a new backup image and save to another drive or to the cloud.

There were BSOD crashes and drivers can block windows upgrades.

Windows driver verifier is a tool which stess tests drives. Those that are unstable or misbehave cause BSOD.
When there are BSOD dump files are typically created. The dump files can be debugged to find misbehaving hardware or software drivers or malfunctioning hardware.

When using the tool the computer can become very sluggish. Sometimes the boot can be very slow.
There are customized test settings and these can be modified as needed.
The tool will be used for 48 hours. Then after the last bsod it will be used for an additional 36 hours of typical computer use.
If there are no more bsod that will complete the use of the tool.

After each bsod you should see a bsod window with bugcheck and : (
You will need to turn off or recover from using the tool by using the Windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
There are three main methods for turning off or recovering from using the tool after a Windows driver verifier produced BSOD:
a) start up options > lick restart > select #6safe mode with command prompt > type >
verifier /reset
b) command prompt > this should open a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe and prompt: Sources:> > type:
verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail
c) system restore
The steps above should be done in order and only advance if the prior step failed. System restore often leads to a loss of the dump file and little progress can be made in the troubleshooting.

After each bsod > run the beta log collector and post a new zip into the thread

Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

If there are no bsod with the test settings in the first link or when there are no longer any bsod this link will be used for the test customizations:

The first link uses three simultaneous tests. The second link uses approximately twenty simultaneous tests.

Restore point and new system image created. Will begin Verifier tonight.

The Verifier has been running for 13 hours and so far no BSOD. I will note that of the 8 drivers listed in instruction link to check off, 4 were not listed on my computer. I checked the main list of drivers and the secondary list offered. I plan to let it run just short of 48 hours.

For Windows driver verifier test all available drivers.
For the test customizations if there are no bsod with three customized tests per the Ten Forums link then increase then tests so that it matches the Microsoft link (approximately 19 customized tests)

I stopped and reset Verifier yesterday to include all drivers. It has been running for over 14 hours with no BSOD.

Turn off Windows driver verifier using administrative command prompt verifier /reset

Download and install Whocrashed.

In the left upper corner above analyze click on tools > crash dump test > type: ACCEPT > perform a manual crash

After the manual crash:
a) run the beta log collector and post a new zip into the thread
b) open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\windows\memory.dmp
If the file size is < 2 GB > zip > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive
