    Why So Many Updates?


    This is a curiosity question: Why are we having so many updates for 1803? Does anyone have a handle on this. It is just an unusual number, and they just seem to "keep on coming".

    Sorry, looks like a double post for this one
    That is not abnormal. It's all the monthly Patch Tuesday updates, and one yesterday for Intel CPU code. Not unusual at all. If they did not update periodically, security would fall behind and functionality would suffer.

    Back when Win10 Technical Preview [now Insider Preview] came about the acronyms WaaS or SaaS started being known. WaaS = Windows as a Service SaaS = Software as a Service
    The premise was and is that Windows will be continually updated both as maybe twice yearly Version Upgrades then periodic Build updates to those. Some software publishers including Microsoft with Office 365 are going with subscriptions, will be updating as needed.
