    To remove the tiles:

Right click - turn live tile off. Then right click - unpin from start.

Not sure if the first part is necessary but I do it anyway. You have to do it for every tile, one at a time.
Thanks, I thought just unpinning them from Start wouldn't stop Windows from downloading them when connected.

Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 17.0.9.1

Use DDU to install/remove your drivers and you will never have another problem.

Ah, I'm very hesitant to edit the registry. I'm considering to present this problem in the Feedback Hub. Hopefully someone would listen.

I agree, usually. It is easily reversible and Brink's stuff is right on.

Normally I do not like to hack registry either so I understand.

Did you look through nVidia software. Windows on or off won't stop nVidia from calling home.

You mean if I have any Nvidia software installed prior to connecting to the internet en WU downloading and installing the driver automatically? I don't have any software installed at that time no.

DDU works just fine. Use it don't use it. I have never had an issue with installing an Nvidia driver. DDU, as part of it's cleanup, removes Nvidia from the registry and there is not a Reg hack posted here by Shawn that cannot be trusted. This program is also approved for use by Nvidia.
