I've recently updated to 1809 and so far seems ok.
Storage Sense and Timeline are interesting, and there's the new 'Screen snip' tool for example.

Before making more changes and before it's too late, create a new base disk image - e.g. using Macrium Reflect (free) + large external disk, then differential images at appropriate points.

Yes - I've found that Storage Sense is where disk clean up migrated to. For now I think I will keep teh autodeletes turned off - I prefer to be in control!!has gone.

I made a disk image using Acronis before the 1809 update, and will do another one soon with the updated version, plus regular updates as I always do.

FWIW.... Old style is still available thru the properties of the drive. Just careful checking options so you don't accidentally delete your Download Folder contents.

And the Command Line version still works:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535

Well after 4 months of operation with no unwanted attempts to update to 1803, today it decided to update and did it successfully!! ... Inspired by this success I have now done a repair install of 1809 and that has also installed without problems. ... The only thing I can put this change down to was that KB4023057 ran a couple of weeks ago, and this seems to have fixed whatever was causing the updates to fail. Thank you Microsoft - it took some time but you got there in the end!!

Well, that was the stated purpose of KB4023057 after all...

...glad to hear it did what it said on the tin.

Dalchina rather took me by surprise there, normally waiting a lot longer, cautiously assessing the reports from us early adopters before upgrading. Timeline was actually new in 1803, but the number of apps it can record seems to have been increased for 1809. I've been using 1809 since the beginning of October and found little to complain about, even with that first release.

Thanks for reporting back, I'm happy to hear it has (finally) worked out for you.

I cannot delete or disable the tasks in Task Scheduler as I get the message that the account I am using does not have permission to disable the task (I am running from my Administrator Account).
The following freeware can get you the permission.
PowerRun v1.3 (Run with highest privileges)
